Amla is famous for it's skin benefits and is know as the nectar of the gods with great powers.
Today, this fruit is also prized for its high levels of antioxidants (like vitamin C) and tannins.
You can use this mix for cocktails or as a skin healthy morning drink (without the vodka).
Recipe
2 celery stalks, chopped, plus 4 whole stalks for garnish
2 tbsp freshly grated horseradish
2 28-ounce cans whole peeled tomatoes.
1/4 cup onion, chopped
4 medium lemons, juiced
3–4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tsp Rebel Herbs Amla Holistic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Sauté the celery & onion in tbsp of olive oil. Add the tomatoes and their liquid and simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes, or until thickened. Cool the mixture until just lukewarm.
Stir in Amla extract, horseradish, lemon juice, mustard, Worcestershire, and Tabasco sauce.
Pour the mixture into a blender and puree until smooth. Let cool, then season to taste with salt and pepper
Strain through a sieve into a glass container and refrigerate until ready to serve. Mix with vodka for Bloody Marys, if you like however, it is much better for your skin to skip the alcohol and just drink a glass of the mix each morning to seize the day.
